McKeon & Bucher Counseling formerly McKeon Counseling Center, was founded by Margie McKeon, Ed.D. an David McKeon, Ed.D. who have been in private practice for 20 years.  For more background information on the McKeons, click Dave and Margie.

They were joined by Kevin Bucher, Ph.D. at the Centre in 1988.  Prior to this, Kevin was for four years Executive Director of the Hunt County Family Services Center, a Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center in Greenville, Texas.  He was Clinical Director of the same agency for three years before becoming Executive Director.

A native of London, England, Kevin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and has completed the training requirements for being a Certified Imago Relationship therapist.  He received his counseling and marriage and family therapy training at East Texas State University (now Texas A & M - Commerce), where he did post-doctoral studies after concluding his Ph.D. in Religious Studies at the University of Louvain, Belgium.

Kevin's practice includes individual, marriage and family therapy, with a particular interest in the area of relationships, stress management, preventive mental health and spirituality.  His wife, Elizabeth, is both a psychiatric nurse and a Licensed Professional Counselor.  They have one son.
